For over 20 years now I’ve been building guitars by hand in my workshop in the Cotswolds. It is my happy place where days are lost in the little details.
What continues to inspire me is the transformation: how inert wood can become something living—an instrument with its own voice and personality. As Segovia once said,
“The guitar is a teacher, it teaches me patience, discipline, and humility"
I’ve come to believe that too, not only in how it sounds, but in how it’s made.I begin each guitar with a clear vision of the sound I want to achieve. Carefully selecting and pairing woods,
I tap, flex, and listen—seeking the perfect harmony between back, sides, and soundboard.Using traditional tools and methods, I hand-finish every instrument with a French polish for both beauty and tonal refinement.
